The packaging may look familiar if you’ve encountered similar car head units before,

but don’t be too quick to judge;

there might be more to it.

Comparing Build Quality:

Now, let’s compare the build quality of the LAMTTO head unit to a cheaper alternative by Secaine.

At first glance, both units look almost identical from the front.

However, when you flip them over, the differences become apparent

The unit itself uses a suction cup or adhesive attach it and all you need to do is run the power cord to the ciggaret lighter.

Straightforward backup camera installation  includes running the wire to the rear window or the trunk of your car

Alternate camera placement due to unique dash configuration.

Testing and Features:

With the LAMTTO unit installed, let’s dive into its features.

The unit supports Apple CarPlay, which connects seamlessly to an iPhone.

It offers the standard CarPlay functionalities, including navigation, music control, and Siri integration.

The unit also features a DVR function with front and rear camera views

I have to say, at this price point you can have a recording rear and front dash cam, Apple Carplay/Android Auto is somewhat insane.

Audio Quality:

Audio quality is a critical factor for a car head unit.

LAMTTO delivers crisp and clear sound quality.

Secaine unit suffers from poor audio quality, a common issue with similar units. So you have to know what you are getting.

Conclusion:

The LAMTTO head unit represents a significant upgrade from cheaper alternatives. When I say cheaper, I mean build quality cheap because the LAMTTO unit is cheap pricewise but is built on another level.
